Once you’ve completed your first draft, it’s time to unsheathe the red pen and edit the thing. And then edit it all over again, from the first word to the last. And then go through the whole thing all over again. And then, maybe, your book will be ready to submit to agents or publishers. If nothing else, it’ll be ready for another edit.
